Space Dynagon Kai [スペース大納言改] Game Sample - PC/Doujin

Another Platine Dispositif Doujin Soft action game. This one is pretty fun with a frantic pace. At a glance, it looks like a Pocky & Rocky style game, but it's not quite the same. Playing as a young miko maiden, you run around shooting leaf enemies of various kinds as well as other monsters with magical charms of fury. While her charms are pretty strong by themselves, you'll lose sight of about half of what the game is about if you don't utilize her real power; The ability to plant "leaves" and detonate them with her power like bombs!

You can run around setting up traps and blow up a crowd of enemies when you capture a leaf enemy. Different leaves have different exploding patterns and if you're in deep enough, you can set off a large and deadly chain reaction that wipes out dozens of enemies. It's dangerous and you can expect to get hurt often, but the devs knew this, as chains typically restore health if they are a decent size. You won't need it much on "Heartful" difficulty, but blowing up loads of enemies and rushing through on higher difficulties is almost essential as you have much less time and there are much more foes and hazards. Digging can also be used against certain bosses too.
