The status quo has one thing in their favor, they can continue to rip us off because:
(1) common citizens have no facility with which to organize for any realistic leverage.
200 years ago if you fought against "taxation without representation" and tyrany you would be called "patriot"
Unions have the numbers, however, they stick to issues that put dollars in their own pockets. Massive government fraud is no enemy they would go out of their way to address as long as they can receive "their issue"
