I assume this same Graffman had suffered an injury to his right hand that ultimately took away it's use, but in spite of it, he has gone on to teach and continue to play piano exclusively with the left hand playing small pieces commission by Paul Wittgenstein who lost his right arm in WW I.
He specializes in left hand literature for piano.
Amazing determination.

Yes your assumption is correct. Graffman currently heads the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia.
