  • The minimum down payment is 3% for the HomePath loan. If you can't afford the 3%, you may want to look at a USDA loan, save some money or see if any of your relatives can gift you the down payment.

    HomePath only aplies to homes that have been foreclosed on, where Fannie Mae was the original investor of the mortgage in default.
