@menspeakout Thanks I can't say anything else.

I appreciate every man who tells his story of boyhood abuse, because every one of them tells me something about it a little differently, or a little different, than the other men have told me. Describing the need for approval as a drug was a new take on themes I have heard before.
Many thanks for shedding more light on the inner life of survivors of boyhood abuse.

You are very brave and courageous ! Wow , and yeah I experience panic attacks , but it is just because I'm pretty sensitive , and things get to me very easily .... but this is a very inspiring story and I wish all luck to you ...

Hello Chris;
My name too is Chris. Incredible courageous video that's heartfelt. I cried when I watched this. Your so very lucky too have a loving compassionate wife to help sustain you. I've lived for 33 years as a Asexual/Heterosexual man living the aftermath of a horrid gang-rape & torture at gunpoint. Strange though I still feel like a victim rather than a survivor. Your video is profoundly reflective. Much appreciation. Fraternally; Chris

After watching Chris's video, I was inspired to make my own. It was an amazing experience. Very theraputic. Thank you, Chris and Ophelia. Wishing you peace of mind on your journeys of healing.

Thank you for making this video. It had been so hard for me. I was afraid to tell. Menspeakout, if you would like to watch the video about my story, I made a video response. If anyone is being abused, you're not alone. Tell someone. God bless you Chris. :)

It's so hard to speak out and tell the world your story. I understand this (having gone through it myself), and I commend you. Please know that when you get past the anger, you are truly free... it took Me 38 years to get to that point, and only now I am free. I wish you all the best on your journey. Love, laugh, be happy.

thanks for you video. I am survivor too.

I never told until I proposed to my wife. I debated for a week and finally decided to let her know all of who I am. She took my hand and pulled me close and said whatever you need, whoever you are she would be there to share and support. Im 26 and have been married for 3 years. Life is sweet when you let go and give in to love. Time may heal but love will change you.

It's a disturbing, very unsettling video - yet I loved also how you put holiday/happy pictures on it near the end. Well done. Thank you for sharing this video.

Thank you for your comment. The pictures at the end were a way of showing that my abuse does not define who I am. There is help for those who have experienced abuse and light at the end of the tunnel. We are not alone.

It's so sad that there are so many that have been sexually abused. I am female, but the feelings you shared...well, I felt them too! I admire your courage & bravery in sharing your experience with others. I am so sorry you had to endure these things in your life. My thoughts are with you. Warmest regards.

I think often about men and women who have been abused and how sometimes we feel like we need to separate ourselves from each other to find peace. The first time I stood up on a stage and told of my abuse was after seeing a line of brave women tell their story. I was inspired and I felt so much like they did. We are too much alike to heal apart. So we should heal together.
