He's just flailing nothing special

I'm a drummer, and many people that are drummers (perhaps the festival-goers that he solos at) would agree that the drumming Brian does actually takes VERY much talent. It's EXTREMELY difficult. It's also funny that you'd hate on off time when Jordison loves playing off time. Travis just plays simple, catchy stuff on nice sets. he's a very simple drummer.

Okay let me rephrase.. Anyone who plays drums like this guy is playing doesn't take a whole lot of talent. I'm just saying this isn't good drumming. If you would like to compare this drummer to Jordison be my guest haha. The thing about drummers that can play weird time signatures is that it's still sounds good. Travis gets alot of shit but the stuff that he does is pretty good. Just because he is in a popular pop punk band doesn't mean he should catch crap.

@PolarBearSenor Your comment doesn't really make sense. Are you saying that it takes more talent to hit drums in time? Joey Jordison and MANY famous drummers, when they are drumming by themselves (since out of time doesn't fit their genre) play in polyrythms and play much off time. Playing strange abnormal rhythms is a respected sign of skill in the drumming world, so you know. Something Travis Barker would know little about, he is not a very good drummer.

@JezuzofDoomlolxxx his two high strings are actually banjo strings

get the cd, is it majic mountain? but yeah that drummer is so tight on the snare. you cant hear it with the shit sound quality

You are pretty mature for calling someone a douche on an internet video site for disliking the same music. All i'm saying is to be out of time is something that bugs every musician from Neil Peart to Joey Jordison to Travis Barker. Anyone can hit drums out of time it really doesn't take a whole lot of talent.

Lightning Bolt sucks recorded cause you can't see them live. This video will never do it justice...

Probably on the banjo string he has on it.
I can't believe that anyone would question the greatness of Brian Chippendale's drumming. he rocks, grooves, pummels. absolutely beyond everyone else in this clip,esp....
