A new study on healthcare lobbying published in the Chicago Tribune has found that healthcare companies have spent $635 million on lobbying over the past two years. At least 166 former congressional aides involved in shaping healthcare legislation have registered to lobby for healthcare companies. This includes at least fourteen former aides to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and at least thirteen former aides to Montana Democratic Sen. Max Baucus, the chair of the Finance Committee.
Check out United Healh (UNH), the US largest health ins co. Their after tax profit in 2008 was 3.7%. A $500/mo policy gave them $18.50 profit. Big deal! Check any stock site, and do the math. Dont expect these folks here to do it for you. Divide the after tax profit by the annual revenue.

So let me get this straight. They're going to pass a bill that puts private health care companies in charge of the "public" option, which isn't public and which isn't any option? This is absolute bullshit at its finest. No wonder Insurance Stocks hit the roof. Now, their stranglehold on American health will be complete. If you want proof that the Insurance Lobbyists have control over this issue, here is your point! Revolving door my ass. It's more like an express tunnel. Sickening.
