Here's my Siamese Fighter Fish (Betta Splendens) and his Shrimp tankmates (unknown variety as of this moment). I have removed the divider so both fish and shrimp have full freedom of the tank (and I hope one will not eat the other!!!).

This is my first Tropical tank and already I'm having heater troubles!!! But the occupants seem to be ok for the moment, whilst I get the heater sorted... :S

  • SFF??? hehe you had the same fighter as me :( mine to passed away funny how atached you get to fighters :)

  • na the SFF won't eat the snails, i won't tell you what i do with my snails >:), and good luck with your new SFF soon i will get one :)

  • I think it was the plants that died on me (the pondweed-like plants, not the leafy ones) which caused an ammonia spike that got them, but the thing is, it all happened when I was away for a week, so by the time I got back it was too late... :(

But my new SFF is a very active friendly little fella!!! :D

As for the snails, I quite like them, they have cleaned up the tank since the dead plants died and caused an algae outbreak, so I'm letting them stay, it's up to fishy whether they live or not!!

  • sorry to hear about that but it happens sometimes and with the snails their a bugger to get rid of if your talking about hitchhikers
