Video is of a 2nd Alarm Fire + 1 Additional Truck Company in a three story occupied frame in Newark, NJ. Video shows first due engine, 18 Engine going to work.

NFD did another great job protecting exposures, and limiting the fire to the initial fire building. At the time of this writing, one FF from 12 Engine was transported to UMDNJ by EMS for a shoulder injury.

  • my mom used to live on Wainwright street in the 1940's maybe two houses from this fire #59

  • Chiefs are the only ones that wear white helmets. The chief that was supposed to be on the box was the one with glasses in front of the apparatus, but the was an error by dispatch.

  • Do Captains wear White Helmets in Newark? Or was tehre 4 chiefs there in the first 17 seconds? I saw the three conversing infront of the rig (one of them was donning SCBA), and one going in the front door. Anyone shed some light on the situation?

  • f/f echols i was ther also with 19

  • I am the driver of 18 in this video all members did an excellent job at this box.

  • Good video, but, too short.
