  • Didn't face away because of the range I was at. Actually you are supposed to have your hands up and unholster the gun at the sound of go, but again bc of the range I didn't. Not really that good at it so for the first couple times of attempting it this one was the only time I did not fumble with a mag or have trouble cocking it.

  • Nice on the reload.. Although with a double stack mag would a reload be advisable?

  • Well with a double stack mag I hope I would never need a reload. However, it's nice to know that you can do it quickly if you ever need to.

  • That may be, but he also didn't turn or draw from the holster. Starting from the low ready makes a HUGE difference.

  • I imagine GM looking like a cross between a super redneck cowboy and an old Chinese Martial Arts Master.

  • I think I timed it actually and I think it was B assuming he nailed'em all. I wanna see a GM do this drill.

  • No, a B class shooter is a good shooter. The classes are D. C, B, A, M (master) and GM (grandmaster).

This guy would probably classify at a low C or a D.

  • Nevermind, I see you have addressed this already. Still though it is not an El Presidente.

  • I'm sorry but that was not an El Presidente. You must start with your back to the targets and your pistol holstered. Turn, fire 2 rounds into each target (10 yards form the shooter, one yard apart), emergency reload and fire 2 more rounds into each target.

  • Instead of dropping your firearm all the way back down by your hip, try just pulling your arm in -- keep it in front of your face while your weak hand gets the new mag. This way, you can acquire the magwell for the reload while still keeping some vision on the target and then you can push straight back out to target.

  • A tip would be keeping your eyes on the subject, while reloading... you also don't need to operate the slide after reloading, u could use the slide release.. the drill (70's) is documented on the net, check for more details..

  • Quite correct there Glockperf!
