samsung wf8804rpa diamond drum washing machine - cleaning coin trap and drian filter

here i am cleaning the coin trap in the drain, the drian houseing is just a coin trap, as there is no filter, as the drain houseing is self cleaning. if i had shown it in the vid, there are 2 inlet water jets in the houseing to clean the houseing.as a result there is no fluff. in this vid there is nothing in the coin trap, infact in the entire time i have had the machine, only 1 item has been caught in the filter, a 4" plastic hanger used in vertical blinds, which was caught after the first ever wash load i did (which if you remember was a load of shirts). you will also notice that the drain pump is protected by a small hole otlet for water, so no coins can get caught and break the pump. which is one of indesit's problems where coins get caught in the paddles of the drain pump and break the pump.

My machine doesn't even have one of them!!!! Apparently the pumps were stronger then and has bigger drainage pipes.

Great vid, so the machine uses more water after each load to clean the filter out?

in the late 90's hotpoint WM and WD's had a filter on the pump, though it was at the rear. and inaccesable.

In your decription about indesits, that also happened in my zanussi when i first got it. On the 2nd load a coin got caught in the pump and burnt out the pump motor.

i knew about the indesit problem because my aunt with the wib111 and hotpoint ctd00. after 3 years, a coin jammed the pump and broke it, not her fault, she was suspecting her 3 year old son to put coins in his pockets. so she never checked them.

i am going to repair the indesit dryer, they still have broke with the spear parts from the hotpoint, the thermostat needs replaceing
