Deus Ex Human Revolution - Balls Trophy / Achievement Guide

Seems you like playing with balls, eh?

The shown method requires you to buy the 'Throw Heavy Objects' Augmentation. How does it affect the process? Well, what you will basically need to do is to throw the ball through the basket from the bottom. It will be stabilized and come down to the exact same point (this time from the top, which is required to unlock the trophy or achievement). This makes it very easy and you need no real skill. Just make sure that you aim in a 90° angle (maximum). Once you can barely see the outer part of the red basket ring you are ready to shoot.
You can always reach the shown area when you are in Detroit. If you can't buy the augmentation you can try to shoot the ball from a higher distance and a smaller angle.

What you can also do [the way I did it] is to take the three barrels on your right and make a little stairway, take the ball with you and drop it in the basket.

I find this method a little easier and if you don't want to throw away one upgrade point. Con is : it is slighlty difficult to see exactly if you are above the basket and if the ball will fall right in, but you can have it back in no time.

On the right of that basketball rim, there's a garbage container and about 3 barrels on top of it. What I did was create a platform right next to the basketball rim and just easily look down and drop the ball straight through.

Never mind my previous comment. It is possible, my savefile was just buggy. Either way, it's a funny trophy and I got it by making the little staircase of barrels and dropping the ball straight in the hoop. Guess NBA won't have me now. ;)

I missed this on my first playthrough and didn't try it until the second time in detroit (during the aug riots). Just a heads up, it would seem you cannot get this trophy during the riots. At least I've yet to see such a video (with the hobo guy preaching about the end of the world in the basketball court).

its not working for me. i have the 360 version but the achievment isnt popping up
