Feasting in the Fields 2010: A Snapshot

Few meals offer as many moments of sustainably sourced bliss or quite so many courses as the annual Lower Mainland Feast of Fields. (www.feastoffields.com)

Open-air feasting featuring the bounty of BC's fields, waters, vines and taps, it serves tastefully as FarmFolk/City Folk's (www.farmfolkcityfolk.ca) largest fundraiser - with similar feasts afield in Whistler, the Okanagan and on Vancouver Island.

This year's feast took place on a windy but bright Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Wellbrook Winery in Delta, BC on the lawns of Bremner Farms. Deliciously and fitting the location and season both, blueberries featured prominently on the menu for the four hour gourmet gathering.

Since it is impolite to talk with your mouthful, I captured a few photos that tell the tale of local well on the their own.
