If you look at kherwa, dadra laggis you will get the idea

You obviously need to listen to many more tabla players my friend. Much of Zakir Ji playing today has been played by others - just that people dont know who they are!

No tuning pegs on his Bayan, I think that's why it sounds so bad.

Sound is just from the video mic which isnt very good, Nothing wrong with his bayan.
