@Blogrich55 I realize this is an old thread but it was the active video on your channel. I don't think you have a valid argument here - it depends on an unprovable premise which is that God exists. Also, if thoughts are not brain activity, can someone with no brain activity think?

3. The status and claims and properties (like truth value) of propositions, and of language in general, are understood by language. Language is a relational feature of the totality of the VERY MATERIAL Homo Sapien brains on this planet. Saying "1+1=2", or " '1+1=2' is true", or "the boy hit that ball" are language behaviors - and their status is understood by the materialist as being relational between PHYSICAL human beings.

1. God doesn't exist on the materialistic view because there are no (ultimately physical) CONSEQUENCES detectable by his existence. It's the exact same reason we claim that ghosts and unicorns don't exist. That's NOT the same as saying that God doesn't exist BECAUSE he's immaterial spirit.

2. Materialist don't deny that there are relationships between physical configurations. A relationship has no mass or energy - it's not material - but is still admissible and acceptable to the materialist.

Math only exists in the minds of higher organisms. cats and dogs cant count. so math does not exist for them.

Thoughts, well that is tricky. Yeah they are electro-chemical processes. But i think they are physical as they occur within the physical brain.

I already disbelieve the bible. Using it as a reference isn't going to convinve me. The moment you make sentient life, you lose rights to control it. For example, Satan forbid, you have a kid. Kid grows up. Do you own that adult? Do you have the right to chose who they should be with, what they should eat, etc.. And I view slavery etc, as wrong, because it IS hurting others, emotionaly and phisicaly. So therefore, I find it hypocritical for a god who advocates these to give me moral lessons.

Two forms of jealousy just like anger. Righteouse and evil. God is RIGHTEOUSLY jealous because we belong to him not to false gods. Just like a man's wife belongs to him not another man. The EVIL jealousy is being jealous of something you dont own. Such as jealous of someone who is rich or better looking.

Who says slavery etc.. is wrong? Thats your opinion of morality. There are people whos opinion is that it is right. Why does your opinion of morality override everyone elses?

You aren't going to answer my question, are you. How can a god who admits to jealosy on one stone and condems it on another, advocates slavery, hate, and domestic abuse, give me moral lessons? Sense it doesn't make. Ad the fact that you haven't taken into account the fact that we are still learning things about our brains, and you get flawed logic. Yay.

@ moegree2 The point of the video is that atheistic materialism's concept of thoughts being nothing more than electrical chemical activity in individual brains makes determining a true proposition from a false one impossible. Logic would also be impossible. Solipsism is dealt with on another video.
