For those who don't know what happens in the few minutes that are skipped, the two Doctors pull their sonic screwdrivers out shout "allons-y" and Tennant says that the creature is some form of primitive conversion with the brain of a cat or a dog.

@RubyRainofTears I know! I was in a pit of despair after that episode...I refused to smile at the happy christmas-ey goings on until the other Doctor showed up. I finally cracked a smile at the sight of the confusion on current Doctor's face.
