The UK banks owe their very existence to the British taxpayer with the Governor of the Bank of England estimating that they have received the equivalent of £1 trillion in taxpayer support.

Vince and the Lib Dems would have joined the Euro had they been in power 4 years ago! And where would we be now? Why have they dropped the idea for now?

So on a major issue, Vince got it wrong and it would have cost us big time.

I am financialy illiterate so Can someone explain to me how the UK Government "propped" up the failing Banks with £1 Trillion when that is probebly 2/3 of the entire GDP of the UK, where did all of that money come from?.

Banks would not just leave britain! thay make to much money out of us we have one of the largest financial institutions in the world. Vince Cable would be a fantastic chancellor for Britain hes the only one who talks any sense

The Banks came out with a statement soon after you announced this idea, seemingly threatening to leave the country if they had this tax imposed on them.

How would you stop them from going? or how would you convince them to stay in the country?

Take back control of the power over the issuance of credit. There is absolutely no reason to have a private cartel print our money. Mr Cable will never fight for GB to have monetary independence because he's a lackey of the establishment. The whole lib-dem leadership is compromised and will not save us from the New World Order. You probably couldn't even get them to admit one exists - even though a cursory search of google news proves its existence.

Take control of all banks. make them state owned.

Seize all their assets and let the people have the profits to offset taxes.

It's a shame that Vince Cable isn't the Chancellor - we wouldn't be in anywhere near the mess we are in if he was!
