http://www.takebackthebeep.com/ I'm using my wife's iPhone 3G S to call mine in order to demonstrate you ARE NOT spared the annoying robo-operator instructions when using Apple's visual voicemail. This is in addition to New York Time tech guru David Pogue's article today, which exposes the enormous waste these needless recordings are responsible for in both time and money.

  • @PrometheusLabor:

You're right -- some iPhone accounts have the instructions and some do not. My wife and I never had them, but when we upgraded to 3G S, both our voicemail accounts started playing the canned instructions after our personal greeting. Trying to get an official explanation from Apple, but nothing yet.

  • I WANT MY BEEP BACK.

I too am using an Apple 3GS and I get the annoying 15 intruction on how to leave a message and then once I've left the message how I can hang up the phone.

I'm currently on the phone with AT&T technical support team and even they dont know how to remove it.

Any news regarding this annoying situation
