Christmas really is about giving to the less fortunate. It is a time of reflection in our own lives and the lives of others. It is important that we all keep hope in our hearts for all those in need. It was sweet of Silverchair to lend their song to a cause like this. Happy holidays to everyone in the world!

being hungry is one thing, but being hungry and knowing you aren't going to get any food anytime soon is awful. but i guess if people have never felt it, they can't possibly understand. why is empathy so impossible?

I agree, an insperational video.
And to all those people who feel that we shouldnt help the starving people of the world...well ask yourself this question - Do you actually know anyone who CHOSE to be born? - I guess not. Not helping someone cos their parents should have known better is a completly stupid argument. I agree, lets help educate people...but feed them too. They are victims not criminals.

I would like to end this on a happy note as well. You have your beliefs, I have the truth. It's simply that I do not care at all about them. Not one little bit. Let's just end it like that. I would love to think that your help is not a giant waste of time, but I really know it is.

The inspirational level of some of these comments is staggering. What we need is less negativity and more action. Many of us are fortunate to have been born into a situation where basic necessity is not worrisome. Unfortunately a large proportion of people are not so lucky. It could have just as easily been us born into poverty. The less fortunate deserve an opportunity to live in peace and happiness. We have the responsibility to provide it.
