Trick Terminology:
Popping is a method of jumping out of the water, where your kite stays low and powered throughout. You edge hard against the kite, carving the board upwind, until the pull in the kite becoming so great it pops you out of the water. This can be performed hooked in, but once you start doing this unhooked it will lead on to a vast array of powered wakestyle tricks.

This video features Christian Harris, Karine Navitel & James Boulding filmed in Egypt at the Kite Junkies kitesurf centre.

This video is part of our trick terminology series, aiming to inspire you to get out there and try something new on the water. So check out the Progression website for more videos and our range of instructional DVD that will help you to learn tricks from beginners through to professionals - http://www.progression.me
