-All you need to do is simply write something like "I received "product x* as a sample by the company." That's it! This has been cited on many FTC guides.

-There is no fine! The FTC doesn't have the authority to fine you! Here is a quote from a member of the FTC. "The root problem here is that reports that there is a monetary penalty for violating these guidelines is untrue. The FTC does not have the authority to impose a fine for a violation to the FTC act," says Cleland who heads the FTC's division of advertising practices." I just want to let people know that an agency can levy a fine. An agency is the arm of the government that ensures quick enforcement of their regulations. If they couldn't fine without going through the judicial process agencies like OSHA and the FDA would be moot. Would you really want to wait for a court hearing to have contaminated foods be removed or force an employer to implement safety? NO! This is the same, just consumer protection against disguised infomercials on youtube

I definitely think juicystar07 and allthatglitters make videos to get money and exposure to further their fame. i'm not trying to start a big controversy here, but something about them just doesn't seem honest or genuine. i definitely think they feel this is their shot at fame since they don't have any actual talent to make them famous

After over 45 minutes on the phone with the FTC, there are SEVERAL things that haven't been clearly spelled out!

While not an official word, I am told that the older videos and posts that "we have control of" must include a disclaimer in some sort of manner..

I can tell you, after 45 minutes on the phone, it's not as simple as "it appears"
