Hey so I got the infused kernel on my phone and SetCPU as well but im not able to overclock the phone, i changed the ROM on the phone to the gtgx one or something do i need the cyanogen mod 7 to overclock?

@Ebagramirez no not really. you dont have to have cm7... but be careful some roms dont support the infusion kernal. but cm7 should.

@aqualadb03 so I guess im confused about the whole overclocking part I went into the ROM manager and installed GTGX but I cant overclock my phone, is the kernel and ROM two separate installs? if I run CM7 will install everything needed tto overclock my phone? Right now at 1.2 the phone lags im just trying to make this thing faster where am i going wrong here?

@Ebagramirez OK first of all i dont recommend using rom manager its kinda confusing.

instead use clockwork manually ( battery pull-> volume up,volume down, and power.)

once your in there flash cm7. then flash kernel. TWO SEPARATE INSTALLS!!! then use setcpu to overclock... would you want me to just make a video on it? ill be using the sgs2 instead of the infuse though..

I also had to use Odin to do a hard reset...

Umm I was running Froyo 2.2.1 and rooted using Superoneclick ,got the custom e3 recovery file and flashed CWM using Rom Manager and then I installed CyanogenMod7, pulled battery then I got Samsung Icon loop. What did I do wrong.  Is it only for Gingerbread?

SORRY ABOUT THE BAD PRESS HIS VIDEO IS CORRECT BUT NOT INCLUDING OTHER PROBLEMS THAT I HAD, IT FINALLY WORKED, THIS IS WHAT I DID WENT BACK TO STOCK WITH ODIN3 V1,7 WITH GTG'S ULTIMATE FOR INFUSE, DID SOME MORE THINGS TO CWM FOR INFUSE THEN I FLASH THE WAY HE SAID AN SCREEN STUCK ON SAMSUNG , WENT BACK INTO CWM FLASH AGAIN, FINALLY IT INSTALLED. I HOPE THIS HELP.

I get an error. "cant verify signature" or something.. i rooted it using superone click.. put the files from your megaupload on my sd card. downloaded CWM manager. installed the reboot thing...
