VLADIMIR SVERDLOV was born in artistic family in 1953. He acquired his initial professional knowledge from his father, a prominent Ukrainian painter, and his equally creative mother, a sculptor. Prior to mandatory military service he worked as a designer at the top architectural bureau. In 1974 he entered in Kharkov Art and Industry Institute.
Later he transferred to a famous Muhina Art School in St. Petersburg (studio of V. A. Surina) which he successfully graduated from in 1979.
From 1979 to 1995 he worked as an industrial designer. Since 1995 Vladimir has his own studio on Nevskiy Ave. in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Vladimir is a prize winner of The Third Saint Petersburg International Biennial Modulor 2001 for his scupture Pyramid-Bridge; The First Ukrainian Biennale of Art Design and Architecture Speka 2003. He is a participant of numerous art competitions and exhibits in Moscow, Kharkov, Kasan, Tumen, Tokyo, and Osaka.
His sculptures can be found in many private collections around the world.
