sss are the collaboration with Stock Aitken Waterman was forced.
The music of stock.a... w.. wanted was not what the sputnik.
on the cover of next lp was then protest "Sputnik Aitken Waterman".
that was ultimately the end of the band.

I was 16, they were shite. They looked like dated punks, they said and did nothing new, Frankie had done it all before 2 years previously. In 86 Hip Hop and the emerging house scene were the only creative areas in music.
That they chose to work with Pete Waterman in 88 rather than any of the up and coming young British electronic producers says everything you need to know.

This film tries to be negative about Sputnik but just makes the critics look like dicks. If they were so untalented why did they all go on to make music after Sputnik then? History will prove them right.

0.22 brilliant !! and David Quantick mate were you ever a teenager?? you look like you've always worn that shirt and cords,you like real ale but with a top in it cos it's a bit too edgy straight up,however to your credit you listened to Flaunt It 45 times before you got sick of it.I've heard of Tony James Martin Degville and Magenta(legend)Divine who still wears Raybans.......mary ann hobbs..ha ha

Sigue Sigue Sputnik is just so legendary. A great idea. A great concept of a band. Even today we want to know what Sigue Sigue Spunik is all about.

they ended up in the well because music turned even worse than it had before and the sheep followed. the stuff they put out in a short time is STILL way beyond the crap being put out today. anybody who thought those guys couldn't play is an idiot!!! check out my sputnik vids on my page, someone has to give these guys the credit they deserve...
