  • BEEEHOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLD,

    THE SEEEEEEEEEAAAAA.

  • B minor, then DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Vaughan-Williams had a knack for creating soundscapes and those goosebump moments. The opening of the Sea Symphony ranks right up there with the moment in his cantata "Hodie" on the words "He shall be great." Amazing.

  • The first string melody after "behold, the sea"... Tingles all over. Vaughan Williams has this habit of creating the most memorable and moving melodies. Lark Ascending has about a million of them!

  • This IS music, both at its roots and its (given) limit.

Very few pieces/songs (as of today, in 2011) can compete with this in terms of 'explosive' melody and harmony.

It's just amazing. And awe-inspiring. And electric!

  • Don't know what has happened to the sound here - I have the CD and it's quite impressive nothing like this restricted transfer.

  • I was part of the group from Jacksonville University that did this with the Jacksonville Symphony a few years ago....love listening to it but was EXHAUSTED by the time it was over.

  • Amazing Musical Piece ~ Thank you for uploading ~ All the very best ~ Geoff

  • i sing with the wichita symphony chorus and we did this two years ago and it has been (in my 7 years doing this) my FAVORITE piece...i adore it

  • currently working on it so sing it in our big church in Northern Germany at the Sail 2010 in Bremerhaven.

It´s a great peace of music.
