Know your own history. December 11th, 1915 a letter was received at Sigma HQ in Wash D.C. from Kappa founder Elder Watson Diggs "The Dreamer" he proposed a merging of Kappa Alpha Psi and Phi Beta Sigma to unite the midwest where Kappa was strong and the east/south where Sigma growing. Sigma politely declined but sent a truckload of used canes to Indiana for the Kappas to work with! April 17-22 1922 Sigma and Omega hold the first joint conclave in Wash D.C. led to the est of the NPHC.

@troystew even if this were true, everybody reading this (including yourself), knows that the declination of the supposed proposal was the biggest mistake the sigma founders ever made. and, btw, i know my history, and i dont consider that minuscule information apart of my history. but its nice to know that a small piece of kappa is considered to be apart of sigma history lol

My son is a SIGMA. My cousin is a KAPPA. My other nephew is a KAPPA. My sister -in-law is a AKA. And Im a QUE. But what we really are is ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY! Something to think about people.

As Greeks we are supposed to lift each other up not tear each other down. We all joined one of 9 great organizations doing great things! None of our founders would approve of this slandering. These orgs. were founded during a time where Black people did not have many other options because we were being held down. Negative comments only help to keep us down!

YO...i have to agree with @rachieJ01 and for all those out there still slandering please seek the light in all aspects and know that we are all children of Free Masonry and Order of the Eastern Star...so LOOK TO THE EAST my brothers and sisters, but we all know what we learned while pledging, KROSSING those BURNING SANDS...and we were all taught our songs and chants...but yes we have to remember why we were formed out of the ashes of social ostracism only to be reborn as BETTER MEN AND WOMEN
