Are people just stupid? If someone has sex with a child that is a sex crime and the hate crimes bill has nothing to do with this--sexual orientation deals with SEXUAL ORIENTATION--hetero, bi, gay, transgender. If A rapes B that is and remains a crime. The congressmen who have come out against the Hate Crimes Bill can not believe what they state--because they can not be that stupid. Are you?

As a child i dealt with a man who hurt me, he was protected and sent to a reform class, that was it. He raped me, i was 8 yrs old and they protected him. Do we really want our children to go through that trauma and know that nothing will be done to atone for their crime? As a child we think that it is our fault already, i was 14 before i found that it was him, not me that was at fault. the child will suffer for this bill, this should not happen
