@proisle I doubt it. Not going to get into the less savoury details...just look for Annie's more recent interviews on the net....that is, if you aren't filled in already.

Changes every DAAAAAAY !!!!!!!!!!
Do you think that the guys in this band understood what a
great singer they had ?????

I've always considered this one of Renaissance's most progressive songs. Love the opening drum riff and the galloping bass line throughout. Nice synths too. And, Annie's vocals are spot on! Great track!

I vaguely knew who they were, I remember they were on a Radio show and I heard Ashes are Burning in 1988, but I was sleepy, and fell asleep. Then in 1997 I found the records at the Library for a dollar each and bought them all not knowing who they were. I thought they were Wakeman with a female singer, and not much moog.

I always loved the vocal harmonies on this one. Awesome music.

Thank you for posting this. Azure d'Or was my first exposure to Renaissance. I'd bought the album from a cutout bin in 1981 after finding out from a friend's older brother there was link between Renaissance and Illusion who's Album "Out if the Mist" I was desperately trying to find. It took me a while to warm up to Azure d'Or but once I did Renaissance became one of my all time favorite bands.

This time, unlike the 1st section live regarding e.g. "A song for all Seasons", where the vocal harmonizations by Annie are not completely equal to those ones inside "Prologue", just to mention one famous tune, here Annie is fully conscious of her role and I like her vocal interpretation!!

Oh,I wish I could ,but in those years I was behind the Iron curtain

How lucky was I too have worked for them in the late 70's? Treasured memories to this day...

It's my birthday tomorrow. Annie is a Gemini dream, I'm just a Gemini nightmare!

@Queenesy I think it hit bottom with the Black eyed Peas 'My Humps'. If you havent; suffered through that I apologize for bringing it up. Do NOT seek it out!
