sounded great to me, Hemi valve covers are nothing but echo chambers for mechanical valve trains anyway, fast idle at start was normal, typical of twin AFBs, every single Hemi i ever owned was a Cold Natured Beast at start up.

It doesn't idle too high. It was the fast idle solenoid keeping the RPMs up high when the engine is first turned on and cold. You people act like you've never had a car with a carburetor on it before.
