Ajahn Bram did not ordain them in secret, it was known to those who actually paid attention.
The real question here is how the misogynists and Wat Pah Pong could possibly think that they would go unchallenged for another century while the rest of the world accepts the equality of women?
It's interesting Brahmavamso talks of trust and "listening to each other" when he himself ordains bhikkhunis in secret because he knows it will cause a rift. He also lambasts those who have a view other than his own -- some trust.
