John Mayer - Half of My Heart

So, I just hear for the first time today the whole version of this song.
and right away i grabbed my guitar and noodled around and figured out the song within a few minutes.
I'll have a cover with singing of this song sometime soon. its a pretty nice melodic sounding song.

lmao and sorry about all the mistakes, its just a rough jam. and my damn arthritis in my left wrist kept on acting up.

just mess around a lot. learn a few songs. get to know the neck of the guitar. what each note is going to sound like before you play it.

makes me want a decent strat all the more. my strat is just a cheap and poorly made guitar (decided to make it my punk guitar). athough i do have an SG but at times i still crave that strat sound

@calicom110 No I agree.. It was a great cover all-in-all especially with the use of the loop. I just honestly would have played a milder solo to really let everything else that was going on in the song/layers to shine.

slow it down a little, play with a little more feeling... when you start out fast theres really nothing else to look forward too in the rest of the solo... start out slow and then rip it later on
