A Belgian man who was misdiagnosed as being in a coma for 23 years was fully conscious the whole time, according to a study released by a leading neurologist.
..when it comes to medical conditions. No one had that right to take her life from her. This is just another way for big brother to get rid of those who they deem unworthy to live..You know, worthless eaters as Hitler and the Nazi's would call them.
Well, better becareful because someday you will be a useless eater. If you trust science that much I pity you.
@atheistworstenemy No one has the right to take away a life, especially since the parents were willing to care for her as long as it took. This Schiavo incident was murder from the top down, with a greedy husband who wanted nothing more then the insurance money.
Her Parents said that she would respond to their voices. I know this can be true because I've been with people in that condition and when the person they knew talked, they would respond. Science doesn't have all the answers..
@atheistworstenemy The way you insult people in a conversation tells me that you have bo idea what your talking about.Your lack of intlleigence puts you in no position to classify someone as concious or not. It's been proven thrue brain scan that his brain is fully functional. Unless you have anything that proves otherwise, your wrong.
@carpentersdaughter2 Those are short periods, though. Remember Terri Schiavo, who was braindead for decades, while people tried saying she was a conscious, sentient person? They ignored the fact that over 2/3 of her brain was actually REMOVED.
Non-consciousness is non-consciousness, and this method does nothing to show otherwise.
@EmilyGreene1984 That's fairly moronic to say. It is on the burden of those promoting this pseudoscience to show any evidence whatsoever that it works. Needless, it has indeed been debunked countless times, and no one who's done any research on this would even bother asking such a moronic question.
@atheistworstenemy Well unless you have valid and consistent proof to your claim, this gentleman is still alive and awake and if he's able to communicate in this way, then so be it.

@jorgec5151 Dude, are you stupid? He had zero consciousness, and still does.

@atheistworstenemy How is this man not conscious. Look at the definition of conscious.
1.aware of one's own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings, etc.
2. fully aware of or sensitive to something (often followed by of ): conscious of one's own faults;
3. having the mental faculties fully active: He was conscious during the operation.
