When I was a kid, we used to always yell to the engineer "Blow yer whistle!!!" every time they passed by. As an adult I now reliaze that the crossing just 500 feet down from my property kinda obliged then to blow it anyways...

is that segment of track right by your house or somethin? you railfan there a LOT! not that I'm complaining, your vids are great. BTW, how do you meet those engineers, I only know a few on the Surfliner and Coaster but I met them through other people.. thx!

my great grandmother's house is right across the street, so i try to get there a lot, not much anymore, but tomorrow I'll be back there. I met this engineer, 2 year ago, on a train that used to change ends in ridgewood. along with a conductor. and the rest either online, through youtube they contact me going "your that kid, my name is BLAH, and or, from other emplyees. if ur out railfanning enough, they'll start to take not of you

PERFECT!(And believe me.. "Shave and a haircut" is is my "thing".. I walk around knocking it out with my knuckles, the horn on my car, EVERYTHING. it's hilarious. GREAT shot.. and GREAT Job Kevin!
