Gearwheels are available in many sizes and shapes. To define the quality of a gearwheel, the DIN norms are used for gearing quality. This includes 12 Quality nuances for the separating- and run out measuring.

Q1 defines the highest and Q12 the lowest quality. Sophisticated wheels like Bevel gear wheel, demanding a high quality, could be milled or grinded only on special machines until now.

Grace to the great technical features on HPM 600U or 800U, as seen on example, the quality Q3 can be achieved. This means, that for example, the Run out of gearwheel is smaller than 6 µm. Such results could be achieved only with grinding until now.
