Wish I knew what the voiceover man is saying in german, this film is really interesting on how they made it and have only worked out a few words and translated it into english. Did the actors who were english find it difficult speaking german?

@schneggilein89 In the book he was a prisoner of the princess of darkness which bound him to an indestructible chain when she heard about his "mission" - When her kingdom was threatened to be devoured by the "nothing" she lost all hope and committed "suiced" by jumping into it.

Gmork was basically near death when he was found by Atreju and in his last second his action was to put his teeth into Atreju so that he couldn`t escape the nothing...

Gmork was absolutely terrifying when I was little, he still is a little bit.

I think it's that quite voice he speaks with....that voice that's punctuated by thunder and the earth trembling.

it gives me a little "comfort" that gmork is operated by women.....it gives him a feminine touch and in the end i even thought that the gmork was FUNNY (as a kid

i always shit my pants when i looked at that thing). but now, i'm not so afraid anymore XD

@fraserkatie He wasn't. Those were the puppeteers. The older man with blonde hair wearing glasses is the voice with a little computerized "gruff" added in.
