i can only just remember this show,i thought it was called chit chat,i'm sure it used to be on just before play school.i remember the mouse and dog used to dress up as sherlock holmes and doc watson

omg - I loved Willie McNab - in 77 when I was 7 I thought he was the coolest thing ever. Thanks so much for posting this, I never thought I'd see it again.

saw chic littlewood on the movie 30 days of night and recognised him. vaguely remembered who he was and had to look him up here to get the blast from the past!!WHAMMO!! lol

Thank you so much for posting this. I used to watch this devotedly in my childhood years. Even had a toy Willie McNab for a little while! One thing that strikes me now is that Nowcy laughed exactly like Ernie on Sesame Street. This was some great NZ children's television - there's nothing like it now. :-(
