Why don't we ALL stop giving such negative comments about the 5th generation, and instead put down the positives! (though I admit, i'm not a fan of them, but like the 4th generation, i'm sure i'll grow to love them over time which is already starting). haah.

Okay so, I highly doubt making stupid narrow-minded assumptions are going to make more people like Pokemon, everyone's entitled to their own opinions thank you very much.

It's not that I hate the new Pokemon, I just never exactly accepted them, they were created way too fast. For the first few years, it was only Kanto, then Johto came. Now, it seems like there's a new one coming out every year, so after Johto, I gave up on trying to catch up, and payed attention to Generations I and II, simple.

@Cryddanat You will never catch them all, because once you catch the final pokemon... bam, 100+ (in this case over 151) new pokemon show up.

@shadowdragonshadow the thing is this isnt the only song that references the hero thing. the one for hoenn did too. and both say we "will" be heroes not we "can" be heroes

@dolphinsays They do it because Ash and his friends are constantly trying to fulfill their dreams. Helping others is a dream they have in common. They arent trying to make it seem like being a hero is his only dream though.

can someone please explain to me what being a hero has to do with anything ash ever desired. his goal is to be a pokemon master. he does heroic things for sure but its not like he actively seeks out evil to thwart. why do they insist that his dream is to be a hero in the themes

Johto came out two years after Kanto. Hoenn was three years after that. Sinnoh was FOUR years after that, and Unova was another three and a half years or so. 'x3; So no, it's not every year; each one has been notably longer than the last until the most recent, which was still longer than all EXCEPT the immediately preceding... So yeah.
