It takes a certain breed of people to be in the "Death Industry". I bet that when Niel first started, he was grossed out and after a while. You don't feel anything at all and it becomes "Just Another Dirty Job".

Look at the nurses that work specifically in I.C.U.'s. They are very desensitized and show very little emotion for patients. I know this because I have been in an ICU on three occasions.

@sk8tafrnk For those of us who believe in the Creator and what He has told us, then yes, the soul does live on after death. And because of this we should respect the dead as well as the living. We should treat them with care until they are placed in the ground, and also reflect on how short life truly is. Regardless if you believe in the Hereafter or not. Death is a constant reminder and commands reflection and preponderance.
