SMG - Plasma Rifle
Magnum - Plasma Pistol
Battle Rifle - Carbine
Sniper - Beam Rifle
Rocket Launcher - Fuel Rod Cannon
Warthog - Spectre / Ghost
Scorpion - Wraith
needlers and banshees are the only exception

I wish I had the elites' voices. I'd say random crap all the time for no reason just because it sounds awesome. My friends and I would just be sitting there quiet, and I'd just go "...DEMON!".

I think they always talked about it because they are totally freakin obsessed with the idea of it. Duh! Though seriously, they found some forerunner artifacts and evidence of the 7 halos. Though they mistook it for some path into enlightenment if they were activated. That's what the whole purpose of the Covenant is. Also in the prophecy it states that the humans would be a threat and should be eliminated.
