Wish I was there watching you, drink in hand. Looks like a total blast - love the rolls and close-ups :))

No, they are stable as... As the wind comes up the slope it creates a pressure zone at the top that wants to blow the model backwards, consequently the models have to be made heavier to "drop" into the wind... By working the model back and forth along the slope you can gain a lot of speed and have heaps of fun in the process! The elevator and aileron controls are mixed... these use the same lift as hang gliders and paraponts... FYI if you think this is fun, search for dynamic soaring...!

Whoa! Wait a sec!!! So these don't require any form of thrust from a motor? All you need is a receiver, 2 servo's (I'm guessing one for Elevator and one for Rudder), and a battery to power the servos? No Aileron control needed? This must take skill to fly since there's no form of thrust to save you from those sketchy situations.
It's great fun, having friends around though makes it far better. :)

yeah, almost spot on. 2 servo's, just aileron and elevator.. The rudder isnt needed as the wind direction up the slope yaws the plane anyway. They are EPP foam, and can take knocks, ive crashed them several times, then just thrown them off again.
