French Horn, Month 11

This is the first part of the 'Rohan' Piece from the Lord of the Rings horn book. It's also my first attempt at an upload from a Mac... we'll see how it goes.
At this point I'm about 11 months into playing horn. This piece doesn't go very high, but the follow-up piece does; I'll post it once I can play it. Think my counting is a bit off here - was spending too much time worrying about getting clean notes. I think that there's a noticeable improvement in tone over the last few months though...

It's pretty good! Try and extend your phrasing in the beginning, and open up the bell! You're muffling the beautiful sound. :)

clear you spit valve and use more oxygen on the "high" notes it will make it easier
