He takes people down and holds them down. Call it whatever, that's what he does. He even considered joining the canadian olympic wrestling team. Not jiu-jitsu, not kickboxing. Wrestling. Ask him, i'm sure he'll say wrestling is his strongest point. All analysts say that. Kenny Florian for example, who he trains with.

It seems to me like you have no fucking clue what a wrestler does (besides the double leg), or a BJJ practitioner does (besides subs). I feel sorry for you. @ben1ben2ben1 Ok, let me rephrase if you insist..! GSP is a boring wrestler and BJJ-artist, but he can't finish his fights! And exactly, Hardy sucks. He only has standup, and his standup isn't even world class.. I have no idea why he got a title shot in the first place. Even though I say this, I'll always tune in to watch any GSP fight. :p

And BJJ IS NOT just about subbing your opponent. It was invented to CONTROL larger opponents. Some thing GSP does great even if its "boring". Calling someone just a wrestler is like saying someone who throws kicks and knees is just a boxer. And he would have subbed Hardy (even if hardy sucks) but Hardy refused to tap so he let go

Be it bjj, sambo, judo or catch wrestling, the objective is to submit your opponent. Passing guard is just a step on the way. Sure, 5 submissions, but the last one was 8 fights ago....

@yrrahyrrah BJJ is not just about subbing people! You are just proving your ignorance. And GSP has subbed 5 people. Gaurd passing and sweeps are wrestling? If you think he is boring thats fine, not everyone has to like his style. But to say he is just a wrestler makes you look stupid to more educated fans
