I felt the same way, until i realized my feelings were based on how others have always characterized him. He is talented and his musical style is also a product of his time.

Okay, I'm ashamed to say it...I've never liked Don Ho. I always thought he was...I don't know...tacky? That's not the word. You know how some people have luaus and use all the tacky decorations? That's kind of what I mean. But I don't feel that way now. I realize (maybe it's because I've gotten old...) that he has a wonderful voice and I really enjoyed listening to this video. He's no IZ, but he is really good. Mahalo, Don!

Hawaii is not the same without Don Ho. He is missed. Donald did a lot for the islands. When I go there I miss his presence. He was not stuck up. A very class act. I miss you my Friend. Aloha.
