Ya, it seems most of the PSP videos are shit. So how do people do it, just like a direct connection from PSP to their PC with some adapter cord? Or does the PSP have a common interface like USB?

you can not beat him the first time, you are supposed to die, then go to tartarus and finish everything there and get the gauntlet of zeus, with the gauntlet, you can smash the pillars.
