1987 sunray boat floor replacement - March 15, 2009, 03:09 PM

first i pulled up the old carpet in one piece so i can trace out the pattern on the new carpet . i u purchased marine grade carpet. once i pulled out the old carpet i saw that the plywood floor was badly rotted. so i purhcased new plywood & cut out the same outline then i treated it with thompsons water seal. the next day i screwed the plywood floor in & fiberglassed it.

I was thinking of using a berch plywood for all replacements. the treated pine did not look sturdy enugh for all of the hardware that It'll have to hold...

keep me posted. I'm working on an 84 sun ray bow rider. I'm replacing the floor too! It looks good so far man.
