I'll Remember You - A Tribute to Don Ho (cover by TheLivingroomSinger)

The year was 1970 when I saw my first live Las Vegas show. The man on stage at the Flamingo Hotel was Hawaiian Legend Don Ho! He was remarkable, he knew how to 'entertain' the audience and it left a strong impression on me. Years later while visiting Hawaii with my wife, I was singing in a karaoke bar in Honolulu when I met a woman whose father wrote this song! I sang it in the club to huge applause and so I thought some of you friends would appreciate hearing it here, as a tribute to the late, great Don Ho! Also...Elvis sang this in his 1973 Live from Hawaii television special.

I have always been a Don Ho fan since I was in my early teens. I still have (can you believe it) all his albums. Great Singer. He will always been in our hearts.

I was Don's stage manager in 1986-87... thanks for the great tribute to a favorite Kane. Don was somthing else, one of a kine. (you sound very much like him!)

Thank you for this wonderful compliment! I first saw Don in Las Vegas at the Flamingo in the late 1960s! We all sat in the front row and it was my first live performance show...I was 10! :) I loved his voice and songs ever since! I just was in Honolulu last week on vacation and I met Uncle Tommy at Duke's while at their bar! He was an original beach boy from way back...and we spoke about Don and other historical things about Wailkiki beach!

the girl who sang this was robin wilson graham. wilson then. she is a psychologist in socal now. absolutely amazing voice. always sang barefoot. before don found her, she sang for pitchers at the old hofbrau in waikiki. video of don's reunion concert is available online. robin sings this duet with don. chicken skin moment. aloha don.
