Demonstration of an instrument I made. Innovations include a rim design with internal bracket hooks; a vacuum-formed PETG head shaped as an ukulele rather than a drum; and a bolt-on neck similar to electric guitar convention. • I like the internal hooks! Very innovative, and sounds super! I wonder what a 3/4 size guitar would sound like...

  • thanks! 3/4 is a great idea;

    i'd like to do a tenor guitar

    in the same general construction.

  • great!

  • thanks - love your tops!

  • Alright, now let's see a drum set with heads shaped like that....

  • That looks pretty sharp. How well has the body held up to string tension over time?

  • Cool!

  • nifty & cute!

  • very cool

  • nice

  • for the head, that was just a result of prototyping with a bunch of round heads and different vacuum-form bucks... worked out okay in the end. as for the wood part, that was a combo of prior wood experience.
