It was later used in the TV show Instant Star and covered by the lead character Jude(Alexz Johnson) for the final episode season 1. The cover version also appears on the Soundtrack to the show. Andrea Wasse also Co-wrote the song "Could Be You" from the same Series/soundtrack.

Ok can someone please help me. Who wrote the song and who sang it first? Alexz or The Weekend. I know Alexz wrote alot of songs for Instant Star, but did they use this song from The Weekend for the show? I am sorry if I didn't make it clear what I want to know.

This song was written by Andrea Wasse / James Robertson/ Chris Ward.. Andrea is an accomplished songwriter who has written for many other Artists as well. Andrea recorded the song with her band The weekend when the Producers of Instant star felt it would be suitable for the show. It was then recorded by Alexz. Andrea also wrote with Christopher Ward, It Could be You that was used in the series as well.

label is outside music (canada).. in france try fnac download store the album name is "beatbox my heartbeat"

she's a great singer, but i like Alexz's version the most, Alexz sings feeling the song, she puts emotion to it, i like this version too but Alexz is just the best.

I must not lie...I'm an Alexz Johnson fan, and even if I wasn't I like her version better. Andrea doesn't sing the song like Alexz does, she doesn't put all the passion to it, it's just not perfect. It's good, actually it's awesome, but Alexz really has the charm to sing it. I like this lyrics better though, they should've not changed the lyrics for Instant Star Version.
