They were able to kill everything living with gas and other toxic stuff.

It would be quite easy. That's why I hate the terminators! They're so inefficient!

The ragdolls are very small, and maybe weren't detected for years. But I do wish they would have explained why the machines stopped working... Did they run out of fuel?
