  • The W is not 100% R68/68As. there is still a couple of R40s on that route and believe when i say this, R160Bs just officially entered revenue service on the W!

  • This was about 2 months and there wasnt a Slant on the W. Slants only end up on the (W) if something is wrong with the normal R68 or R160. There isnt enough Slants anymore for the (W).

  • really, the W is now all R68/68As, but R40s are still dominate on the B. how do you know this? i think there's still like maybe 1 or 2 R40s on the N and W. hey, you shot this at the same spot where I shot my video of the W at 36th Avenue. Check it out.

  • My brother is a operator on the A/N lines. I rode the (N) back and forth between Canal & Astoria 2wice and didnt see any R40s @ all. Every W was a R68.

  • I do remember riding in R68 (W) trains but if I was lucky enough, an R40 may have popped up.

  • lucky astoria customers

  • So now the W train is all R68s so that means all the R4OM Slants are being scrapped? they need to soon going the year all E,F,R,Q,B,A,J,Z,W,and the others will be all R160A/B's?

  • I saw about 2 R40s on the W the other day. This is a sign that the R160s will be on this line soon, since they wanna make Ditmars/Astoria a full R160 Bound Terminal

  • well that's good to hear but i thought they were gettin 160's soon
